American Style Pancakes

This is a nice sweet dish to start the morning and perfect for serving a group, which makes this a go to dish to give to my kids to shove in their mouths in the morning. Every Saturday morning, I prepare a fat stack for all the kids to enjoy. When preparing this sweet delight, you’ll have to make sure that you give the pancakes enough volume, they must be soft and spongey. as all my Peterphiles know my signature pancake phrase “If it’s flat, give it the bat.” Also make sure to get them buttered up to give a smoothness as you slide it into your mouth. Now when it comes to toppings you can use anything you like, personally I like to drench mine in a nice thick syrup. The sugary taste of the moist pancakes just gives me the best sensation in my mouth. But syrup isn’t the only thing you can toss on these bad boys, my wife loves hers a bit saucy, while my eldest son is a bit more on the fruity side. He loves it when I serve him some of Moff’s special banana pancakes. Now you need to make sure not to overload on pancakes. Once my daughter had about 6 of them at once and she could barely take it, she only just managed to finish her last mouthful. You need to pace yourself. I would recommend about 3-4 pancakes per person. If you take your time you can enjoy every mouthful to its fullest.
